Terms of Service

1. Purpose of the Service

Claim Your Court ("CYC," "the Service") is a recreational sports coordination service. The Service is intended solely to help players (a) locate public courts and facilities, (b) organize and RSVP to pickup sessions, (c) form crews and groups around shared sports interests, (d) log and share casual game statistics, and (e) communicate with other players about in-person play and community events. Any use of the Service outside this recreational, community-oriented scope — including commercial solicitation, dating, romantic or sexual outreach, political organizing, or general-purpose social networking — is prohibited and may result in a temporary or permanent ban. The duration, scope, and reason for any ban are at the sole discretion of our administrators.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using CYC, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3. Zero Tolerance Policy

CYC has zero tolerance for abusive behavior. Harassment, threats, hate speech, discriminatory language, sexual content, graphic violence, impersonation, or any content our administrators determine does not follow our community guidelines and these Terms may result in an immediate temporary or permanent ban of your account. The duration, scope, and reason for any ban are at the sole discretion of our administrators. You may not receive a warning, and bans are not appealable. Violating these Terms may forfeit any digital goods, statistics, or standing associated with your account.

Our commitment to you: every report of an abusive user or post that does not follow our community guidelines and these Terms is reviewed by an administrator within 24 hours of submission. Reports can be filed from any post or player profile inside the app. We take action — delete, ban, or dismiss with written notes — within that same 24-hour window. If you believe a report has not been addressed in time, email claimyourcourt@gmail.com.

4. Account Responsibilities

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. Each person may maintain only one account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Create fake RSVPs or intentionally disrupt session coordination
• Impersonate other players, facilities, or administrators
• Use the Service for any purpose other than recreational sports coordination
• Use the Service to solicit dating, romantic, or sexual relationships or encounters. CYC is not a dating platform and messaging, crew chat, and profiles may not be used for these purposes.
• Upload, post, or share nudity, sexually explicit content, or sexually suggestive material in profile photos, post photos, messages, or any other content
• Upload, post, or share real-world graphic violence, gore, or content depicting injury or harm to people or animals

6. Content Moderation

CYC is not a free speech platform. All user-generated content — including posts, messages, session descriptions, and profile information — may be removed by administrators at any time, for any reason deemed appropriate, without prior notice.

Hate speech, discriminatory language, political commentary, and any content unrelated to recreational sports coordination are not protected content on this platform. Administrators have sole discretion over what content is permitted. A single violation may be sufficient grounds for a temporary or permanent ban, with duration, scope, and reason at the sole discretion of our administrators.

7. Location Information

CYC displays the locations of public courts, facilities, and scheduled sessions so you can find places to play. CYC does not share your current or precise physical location with other users. Other users only see information you choose to associate with your profile, such as your preferred city and the sessions you RSVP to. If the app requests device location permission, it is used solely to help you discover nearby courts on your own device — your real-time GPS coordinates are never broadcast, published, or shared with other users.

8. Digital Goods and Purchases

CYC may offer digital goods or features for purchase, such as cosmetic profile items, premium features, or in-app credits ("Digital Goods"). All purchases are processed through the platform you are using — for example, the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or a designated web payment provider — and are subject to that platform's terms.

Digital Goods are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use within CYC. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and cannot be redeemed for currency or other consideration outside the Service. Except where required by law or by the platform you purchased through, all sales are final and non-refundable. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any Digital Good at any time without liability, including when an account is suspended or terminated for violating these Terms.

You must be of legal age to make purchases in your jurisdiction, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. You are responsible for any taxes associated with your purchases.

9. Court Availability Disclaimer

Joining or RSVPing to a session does not guarantee court availability. CYC aggregates publicly available schedule information from recreation departments and facilities but does not operate, manage, or reserve courts on your behalf. You are responsible for confirming availability directly with the facility before attending.

10. Data Accuracy

Session times, facility hours, court information, and other data displayed on CYC are sourced from publicly available recreation department schedules and user contributions. This information may be outdated, incomplete, or incorrect. CYC is not liable for inaccuracies in facility or schedule data.

11. Stats & Leaderboards

Game statistics and leaderboard rankings are based on self-reported and community-entered data. They are not official records and should not be treated as authoritative.

12. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you create on CYC. By posting content, you grant CYC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use that content in connection with operating the Service.

13. Account Termination

CYC may issue a temporary or permanent ban to any account found engaging in abusive behavior or posting content that does not follow our community guidelines and these Terms, at any time and without prior notice. The duration, scope, and reason for any ban are at the sole discretion of our administrators, and bans are not appealable. You may request permanent deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by following the instructions on our Account Deletion page.

14. Limitation of Liability

CYC is a coordination tool for recreational sports. CYC is not liable for any injuries, property damage, disputes between users, or any other damages arising from the use of the Service or participation in activities coordinated through it. You participate in all activities at your own risk.

15. Changes to These Terms

CYC may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or via email. Continued use of CYC after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
